Youth participation in the processes of creating policies on local level - INCLUDE US NOW

       Coalition of youth organizations SEGA is implementing the project Youth participation in the processes of creating policies on local level - INCLUDE US NOW from Mayto November 2009. CDI as member and Regional Office of Coalition SEGA is participating in the process of implementation. Project will be implemented in four municipalities in R of Macedonia: Centar- Skopje, Tetovo, Prilep and Ohrid. Main goal of the project is contribution to the implementation of the National Action Plan for the National Youth Strategy and its actions related to the enhancement of gender equality, especialy Youth participation and Youth information.
 Target groups are: members of Commission for youth and sport and the Commission for equal opportunities between men and women, members of municipal councils, representatives of youth organizations and organizations working on gender issues.
Following activities are foreseen to be organized:

• Coordination meeting
• Preparation of Communication Strategy
• Organizing seminar for Youth Participation and Youth Information
• Conducting mapping on participation of young women and men in the decision making processes
• Implementation of the Campaign “Include us now”
• Preparation and broadcasting of TV spot
• Preparation and distribution of leaflets
• Organizing round tables for identifying the obstacles for sufficient youth participation
• Organizing Training of Trainers
• Organizing of Workshops for education and motivation for youth participation
• Organizing of public tribunes on the topic: “Participation - does the municipality need youth participation?”
